WHAT I DID:

• Joined a 12 Step Group for sex addiction
• Obtained a sponsor from a really rigid group
• Shut down my Patreon and deleted porn related accounts
• Had 3 weeks of "sobriety" (no porn, no masturbation, no lust)
• Felt connected with a higher power
• However, had an extremely hard time filling my free time without creative work or usual triggers (video games/youtube)
• Knew the relapse was inevitable, as people within the program had talked about
• "Relapsed" and honestly, it was amazing
• Decided I wasn't ready to quit forever, as 12 step groups are not for "those that wish to use their drug of choice in moderation"
• Was able to keep frequency of use relatively low (days between) and still managing moderate use
• Went and saw "Dune" in theatre's and LOVED it! Especially since playing David Goujard's NSFW game "Behind the Dune"
• Played SpiralVortexPlay's "Umichan Sorani"
• Those two games made me long for creative work again
• So now I'm back

SUGGESTIONS (PREACHING):

There's a few things I do want to say about addiction and moderation for those that might be seeking it. If you're good where you're at, you can skip this section. If you're seeking sobriety, give it a shot. If you're on the fence and haven't tried it before, I would highly suggest getting 3+ weeks of "sobriety" under your belt. If for no other reason than the fact that when you come back, it feels amazing. More significantly than that however, it does provide some clarity around the aspects of your life that need improvement. For me, it was all the small things: cleaning my house, doing errands, even feeding myself for fuck's sake.

From now on, I'm reminded of the acronym HALT: Hungry, Angry, Lonely and Tired. Addicts of all sorts tent to use their drug of choice when they are feeling these emotions/sensations. If these are things that you're feeling, you may want to consider addressing these four sensations before using.

• This will allow me to produce work at a pace that's more flexible
• You guy's can buy only work that you want to see
• You guy's can buy completed works, rather than WIPS, or hoping that I'm able to deliver at some point (again, Fertile Grove 2)
• All in all, this format gives me a better sense of autonomy, which is better for my ability to produce (at least for now)

I'm going to be taking a major break from production on this brand. I just wrote to my Patrons:

"I love porn... a lot. I've been watching since I was 12. It's been the number one center piece of my life since then. I'm 29 now. I've been able to quit smoking weed and drinking alcohol, but I haven't been able to stop watching porn. Developing FG was actually one of the best ways for me to stay sober because I had something productive to do. I don't think that porn is evil. Sex is sacred, and our appetite for it is nothing to be ashamed of. But I personally don't have control over my own porn consumption. So I'm going to seek some support and distance myself from regular consumption for a while. I'd love to see the day that I'm able to moderate and participate on my own terms, but currently at the disposal of minute to minute impulses."

Newgrounds was actually the first time I ever saw porn. That's why I'm so fond of this site. I might be back, but I need to give myself a chance to re-evaluate.

The last scene to "Fertile Grove: Moving In" is complete! I am super stoked to have this project completed! You can play the full version here.

Update regarding "Fertile Grove: The Neighbors":

The short version - I failed.

The long version - I tried to learn Construct 3. I failed. I tried to simplify the process by buying a template. That failed. I tried to hire out development to manipulate that template. That failed. I've got two more options: Renpy and Naninovel. If those don't work, then I'm going to tell the story via comic or long form animation. That's yet to be determined.

That brings me to my next point: I need a break from Fertile Grove (I want to draw something else). I set a goal as far back as 2018 to build a game like this that was choose your own adventure with 5 scenes. I've finally crossed that finish line! It feels good honestly, and I love the story that I've written. That being said, I've drawn the same two characters for 1y 5m. Now that I've reached this long term goal, I'd like to reset a little bit and set some other goals. Before I hunker down into anything, I want to experiment with different characters and stories. The Fertile Grove story will continue, but probably at a different pace.

Either way, my audience has grown a ton over the last few months. This is in huge thanks to Dead End Draws. A special thanks to him for the cross-posts we did a while back. They were super fun and I'm looking forward to more collaboration with him.

UPDATE: Play Fertile Grove: Moving In now

Thank you to everyone who has recently followed me! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Of course, if you've been with me for a while, I love you with all my heart!

Since I just release Scene 4 of Fertile Grove: Moving In, everything I'm working on right now is pretty early. So, I don't have anything pretty to show ya'll. However, I'm still working on the game and wanted to let you guy's know what to anticipate coming down the pike.

Scene 5 is in progress. Tonight, I released an uncensored version of a reward animation for Scene 5 to my patrons. I've changed the pace of when I'll be releasing content because I'm planning to make a different game. I've been using Tryanobuilder to make the visual novels of Fertile Grove: Moving In. It's been a great tool and a good learning experience, but it comes with a hand full of problems. So I'm going to be trying another game builder platform: Construct 3. It seems to be kept up to date and has more documentation than Tyranobuilder. I'm hoping the switch goes smoothly but there's going to be a learning curve.

Provided all things go well, I'll be using Construct 3 to make Fertile Grove 2: The Neighbors. The sketch I posted up top is of the 5 new characters you'll interact with. The idea is that something happens at the end of Fertile Grove: Moving In that leads Andy to investigate. I have a special scene planned for the end of the game, but I'm holding the details close to my chest.

RELEASE:

Fertile Grove's Scene 2 update is now available for all of my patrons at patreon.com/fulvi. I'll be releasing the public version here next weekend. I've implemented much of the feedback that I got here on Newgrounds, including volume adjustments and a different paywall. This version of Fertile Grove will have the Scene 1 reward animation UNCENSORED. Scene 2 will have a reward animation as well, but it will be clothed, rather than censored. I'll be looking forward to your feedback on this change.

SCENE 3:

Scene 3 will start development at the end of this month.

Hey all, just letting you know I have a pulse. Current events have led to less full time work at my day job and more time to work on this project.

I want to have this artwork finished and up on all of my platforms by this time next week. Then I want to start drawing some lewd scenes between our two characters here and start telling the story.

Hey all, after drafting this post 3 or 4 different times, I think I'll try to make it short. I just need to update those that have been so supportive of me.

I've hit a few road bumps. The first was that my last video of Vulvi getting cum on her tits didn't experience the same success as the video of her boobs dropping. This could be because of the content itself, or it could be due to the fashion in which I released it. While I certainly can't expect everything I do to be a success, I did find the experience a little discouraging.

Additionally, Vimeo has removed all of my videos from its platform. So I felt obligated to de-list my exclusive content tiers on Patreon until I can find another platform to host password protected videos.

So, here's where I feel like you need an update: I am currently incapable of producing the amount of content in the manner in which I feel is most worthy of the support that I've garnered thus far. Figuring out how to run this brand is as difficult and time consuming as producing the content itself. Franky, I'm shit at it. That's why I appreciate every follower, every like, and every comment.

I will continue to make content at the pace that I can manage with a full-time job as a graphic-designer. Any continued patience and support of my content is not taken for granted. Thank you again.

As for the image, this is the bigger storyline that I've been planning since I started posting on Newgrounds. It's a long road to the final product, but pursuing this specific story line is what's been motivating me to rev my engines back up. Many of you will be familiar with it's obvious inspiration, but I hope that it's unique elements will become more apparent as I tell the story over time.
